I’m Andrea, a product designer educated between ISIA Roma and IED Milano. My work brings design and visual communication together with an experimental approach to material behaviour, structure and interaction.
I’m interested in the moment an idea becomes something you can use, touch or inhabit. That curiosity takes me from modular furniture to wearable structures, lighting systems and material experiments.
Precision gives my projects a framework. Curiosity keeps that framework open. I move between research, computational methods and physical making, letting each stage inform the next.
My background in languages also shapes the way I work: listening, translating and finding connections between different perspectives. I value clear communication as much as a carefully resolved detail.
A few places, people and rituals that have shaped the person behind the work.
What I bring02 / CAPABILITIES
01 / 06
01
Product design
I develop objects around the way people live, move and interact. From the first question to a coherent product system, I bring function, form and context into the same conversation.
User & context research
Product systems
Ergonomics
Design development
02
Computational design
I use computational methods to explore forms that respond to specific conditions. Geometry becomes a way to connect material distribution, structural behaviour and the logic of an assembly.
nTopology
Parametric thinking
Topology optimisation
Generative structures
03
Material & process research
I start with what a material can do: how it bends, connects, filters or carries a load. Research and experimentation help me turn those behaviours into meaningful design decisions.
Material exploration
Process selection
Environmental interaction
Design through testing
04
3D modelling & rendering
I move between precise models and images that communicate an idea. Modelling helps me resolve geometry and assembly; rendering makes the character, scale and atmosphere of a proposal tangible.
Rhinoceros
Fusion 360
Cinema 4D
Product visualisation
05
Prototyping & model making
Making is part of how I think. Physical models allow me to test proportions, mechanisms and relationships that are difficult to judge on screen, and bring what I learn back into the project.
Physical models
Assembly studies
Mechanism exploration
Iterative development
06
Concept & visual development
I connect a project’s underlying idea with the way it is presented. Through visual research, composition and storytelling, I build a clear narrative around what an object does and why it matters.

Visual storytelling

INTERLUDE / A DIFFERENT SIGNALCOLOR, QUESTIONED
A PERSONAL METHOD
I DON’T SEECOLOR LIKE YOU DO.
I’m colorblind.
I still see color, but I don’t always experience it the way most people do. Over time, this has made me rely more on contrast, form, material, texture and visual hierarchy.
Rather than treating color as an absolute, I’ve learned to question how information is perceived in the first place.
NORMAL PERCEPTIONMY PERCEPTION
A design interpretation, not a diagnostic simulation. Drag, tap or use the arrow keys to compare.
THE TAKEAWAY
SO I LEARNED NOT TO RELY ON COLOR ALONE.
When color becomes ambiguous, other signals become essential.
THE SIGNALS I USE
When colour becomes uncertain, these are the signals I trust to keep an idea readable.
Shape and value should remain readable even when hue becomes unreliable.
Shape carries information before color does.
Surface and material differences can create distinction without relying on hue.
Information should remain understandable through scale, spacing, contrast and composition.
Color is still part of my work.I just never assume it communicates on its own.
